New Head Coach of the Ger­man Men’s National Team

The Ger­man Lacrosse Asso­ci­a­tion is pleased to announce the appoint­ment of Matthew Bagley as Head Coach of the senior Ger­man Men’s National Team in prepa­ra­tion for the Euro­pean Cham­pi­onship 2016 in Hun­gary, and beyond.

Matt comes to Ger­many with impres­sive lacrosse cre­den­tials. Grad­u­at­ing from Ohio Wes­leyan Uni­ver­sity in 2001 after play­ing lacrosse for four years, he ended up in Eng­land where he played for the Eng­lish National Team help­ing them win a gold medal in the 2008 Euro­pean Cham­pi­onships in Fin­land, and fifth place at the 2010 World Cham­pi­onships in Man­ches­ter, Eng­land. After­wards he was elected as Senior Head Coach of the Eng­lish Lacrosse Men’s Team for the 2014 FIL World Cham­pi­onships in Den­ver, Col­orado where he led his team to a fifth place finish.

Matt cur­rently lives in Lon­don, with his wife and son, where he teaches for TASIS (The Amer­i­can School).
